That title is a bit of a lie, because in SBD terms you cannot use vote bots for profit! not without a gamble anyway...

This will be a long post but stick with it - It could save you a small fortune. The aim of this post is not to trash bots as they do have a valid use, the aim of this post is to help educate some minnows as to profitable bot use.

I see a lot of Minnows blindly throwing bids at bid bots, thinking they are growing their money, unfortunately you are not, you are throwing it down the drain..in Some cases...In this topic I am going to touch on how bid bots can be profitable and how they can add value to your posts, but also how in most cases how they are draining your wallets..

To use a bid bot to profit you must understand what their main useful feature is! Bid bots ARE usefull, but not for growing your SBD.

Bid bot are useful in getting your post seen, the higher post value using a bot can bring will take your post up the trending levels - and this is why we see some posts worth hundreds of dollars within hours..If you see a very high value post look at the authors wallet and see how many steem or SBD they have paid to bid up there posts, in many cases the predicted payout is nothing but an illusion - But the authors bids were valid as you did see the post!..This is how a bot can add value - added exposure can mean added organic upvotes! but you need to spend a lot too achieve this.

So when is it worth using a bot? When you want to promote a new series of posts, maybe you are starting a service or a blog and you want to attract new views? A bid bot and the added exposure it brings might help you with this if you spend enough.

How much is enough? Look at post values in the trending of the category you want to post in, you will need to beat that figure to be ranked higher.

What about using bots to try and grow your money upvoting random posts? This will LOSE you money in the long run...Why? because very often so many votes come in that after curation you will be negative on what you invested..Its that simple..

Dont be so sure, very often a large bid comes in the last second making them very unprofitable...

There is a very good reason so many upvote bots have sprung up in the past six months and that is because they are very profitable for the owner, bots do have a good use but ONLY if you know how, when and why to use them.

Like i mentioned earlier in the post, bots CAN be useful, but to be profitable you must understand how and when to use them - I hope this post has shed some light on that a little for you.
