Strange increase in followers in the space of 5 minutes ?

I went from 194 to 300 followers in the space of 5 minutes. What is going on? It actually creeps me out.. who are they? I dont understand enough about this platform to understand what just happened, but I feel very uncomfortable for some reason. Anyone care to enlighten me?
