Negative votes in Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Yesterday I used the dreaded red flags for the first time. I did it four times and I did not do it anymore because I was running out of voting power and I wanted to be able to vote articles from some steemitians.

In this particular case it was a user, to call it in some way, who is dedicating himself to putting links of illegal downloads of books; I counted 13 links, without counting, of course, the previous ones because it has many more. On a previous occasion I left a comment, saying that I did not seem right what I was doing, but far from rectifying, continued to publish the pirate links, then I decided to start putting red flags, knowing that I would lose voting power, I could not use to vote interesting articles and that would not win anything, perhaps an enemy.

I do not like being anyone's police, but the promotion of piracy touches me completely. As you know I am a writer, I have all my novels, stories and plays in the digital portals of the internet, Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, etc ... Write a novel, a play, a book, compose a song, make a film, it costs a lot of time and money and nobody deserves to be robbed of the product of their work.

More than eight days ago I published this article, No to the promotion of piracy in Steemit !, on piracy in Steemit because it is an issue that worries me a lot. The robots, @lince and @cheetah, are very aware of the copy and paste, but I have the sad feeling that NOTHING does against this type of behavior, which seems the same or more objectionable perhaps because their computer algorithms do not track download links illegal that proliferate in this community.

Also, in these cases, there would be no doubt and I think it would be more effective than tracking the plagiarism that, on many occasions, mess up, as I suffered in person with @cheetah, which put on your list because there was a coincidence with the title of a story that I wrote; anyway.

I know that putting negative votes is not a dish of good taste because it does not report ANYTHING at all, only winning one or the other enemy, but I think that this community does not deserve to have users dedicated to promoting PIRACY; If we repudiate PLAGIARISM, we should also be clear with piracy because every book, movie, song that is pirated is damaging a third party and we can not pass it on Steemit because here we obtain benefits for the original content we share, not with the theft or with your encouragement.

Steemit should be free of these despicable compartments.
For that reason, I beg you if you meet a user who is dedicated to promoting piracy, do not hesitate and give a negative feedback and a comment on why you do it, so you will be contributing to have a community free of cheeks and a community Prestige.CxzbXLeW8AEZumC.jpgCxzbXLeW8AEZumC.jpg
