Why Steems price is stuck at below $2

I constantly read posts day after day that say invest in this and invest in that. Investing in something you feel has potential is one thing but the main problem is that this investment will never go anywhere if updates, functionality and excitement in the community is not there. This has been and will be the reason Steem value is going to stay under 2 dollars a coin and might even fall further.

Let me explain

I began on Steemit over a year ago. Back when this all started it was great and the Community grew with each day. Endless Functions were a buzz and being created on almost a daily basis, these little things kept our community grasping for more. The mention of us actually going out of Beta had everyone on their heels and ready to pounce. Here we are a year and some change later and not only are we still in Beta mode, but we have lost the passion for new Updates and Functions. Those brilliant minds have fallen silent and have left a wake of people wondering what is next.

In order to Survive

The only way Steem or Steemit will survive is through new ideas. We need to start fresh out the box and revamp our image. We have loyal Authors and Fans, but they will start veering away if we dont put something new infront of them. We need to get out of Beta mode, this will show the interest for the future from the Developers stand point.
