A Call for Help...Please Read!!!
This is going to be a whole different kind of post. I say this because I am asking for your help, I hate to do so but have no choice. I work Full Time and support my Family, but I am in bad need of glasses. I attempted to go the DMV and renew my license the other day and was told to retake the Vision test, this always scares me because I am Legally blind in my right eye. In the past I have never had issues seeing, but when I took this Vision test, I failed horribly. I was told by the DMV, that I would need to go see an Optometrist and would have to have them fill out a form and bring it back, hopefully stating that I can drive and without restrictions. Well here is where I need you, I was able to pay for the Eye Doctor Visit, but can not afford the Prescribed Glasses for another two weeks when I get paid again. I need to get back on the road to get back and forth to work, so I can provide for my Family.
Again I am not the type who asks for help, but I have no choice. My Family does not have the Money to give me at the moment and those I usually ask are no longer with us (My Mom RIP). If you read this just know that the Money is going to go to purchasing my Glasses and the Steem Power gained will go to helping Vote up good Stories, I will do my part to pay back the Community.

I upvoted this. Hopefully it can serve to give the article some traction so that you can make some money from it to buy new glasses. If it does not then perhaps you can see if there is any charities in your local area that would be able to help.
I have tried a few churches, but their funds are exhausted. I live in a very small town in North Carolina. I have traveled to a few towns around me, but the same thing. I thank you for the Vote.
Are there no national charities that could assist you I'm not from USA so I have no idea but, it seems to me that yours is quite an urgent issue and I'd like to believe there is an organization out there that would be willing to help.
Ouch, I have glasses to and they are expensive. I think I paid like $450 for mine, but they are Transitions and anti glare. Good Luck you have my Upvote even though it is not worth anything, hopefully it will help you be seen.
Thank you, yeah the prescription is not that expensive, but more than I can handle at the moment. It will cost me roughly $250 plus tax and that is for the cheapest frames I could find. Thanks for the support.

Two pairs for $30 shipped if I remember correctly. I wear contacts and sometimes need a pair of glasses to give my eyes a break. I take cheap over pretty in a pinch. :)
Depending on your prescription it may not help, but I thought it was worth suggesting.

Edit: Oh, and get someone else to take the measurements for you. Trying to do it yourself is a pain.
