What is steemit to me?
I feel steemit is a much bigger platform than just earning money.
I mean beside getting a few dollars(or just a few cents in my case), it provides us a platform where we can share our thoughts with people around the world.
I have never been able to share so much of my thinking process on any social media platform like facebook, twitter or anything else.
Of all the posts I have written here, about 70% is what I have read on internet and writing it down here in my own words. But the rest 30% is my original thoughts and experiences, my imaginations.
The biggest reason of that being anonymity and not judging.
Most of the people on Facebook/Twitter know me. They know what I do, what I am capable of. So they have a predefined picture of me and my thoughts.
They will always view my thoughts on that image about me that is scrapped on their minds.
But here on steemit, Nobody know me of what I truly am. So everybody view and comments on my posts according to what they think about the post and not of what they think about me. And I am enjoying this part more than the part of earning money here.
And that is what steemit to me. A thought and experience sharing platform without the hesitation of what people will think. A platform to evolve. A platform where people can find their thoughts useful and worth earning.

True story bro! I'm new here but I can already feel the difference between other social media platforms. "There's nothing like Steemit, it's way more than an >quotebe paid to blog>quote platform!" The coolest think is that I'm probably one of the rare Belgian in this community and it's pretty great to be able to share with you and learn from you guys. We all need to promote Steemit and the cryptocurrency world. Cause trust me, at least in Belgium, few people really understand and believe it.

You've said it all, I think a platform like this should be promoted by using affiliate program, people will love it more the other social networks
If an affiliate program is used, growth will be much more and much fast.

So very true. This is why I struggle to even do an introduce yourself post. As of now all I do is comment and resteam because I'm young and many would find what I studied to be worthless garble even though it was mostly hard sciences. Just some thoughts to add to your great post!
Don't be so hard on you, you can't know what people would think of it until you show them, you can't control the outcome of anything. Just try doing things and wait for what will happen, If it is good, do better. If the outcome is not that much good, find your mistakes and start over again until you improve. That's how everyone doing something great achieve anything in this world.
So very true. I was speaking from past experiences, but the steemit community has already been way more open and excepting. It will be more me getting over the apprehension of posting things online, since I've never been one to even post pictures. Thank you for the encouragement and kind words.
