2 factor authentication is a MUST! SMS has recently been broken because hackers have figured out a way to divert SMS by gaming phone companies. One-time password generator is a really needed these days.
Also consider a hardware dongle or wallet. Ledger Nano S and Trezor both comes with their own supplementary software that also allow the device to be used as a 2FA in other services. The cheapest Ledger HW.1 is only 20USD and very very user friendly for the security it offers.
