RE: Steemit, Like Life, Is A Popularity Contest - Embrace It Or Devote Your Efforts To Other Pursuits - Your Problem Is Not The Reward Pool, It's Persistence & Commitment To Community

I've noticed a distinct anti-negativity bias on Steemit, even if it's simply citing negative facts that are unfortunate. It's still way better than, say, Facebook where if you even say the word Trump you're a racist, but it's still definitely hazardous waters at times.

Sort:

Not sure I agree. Anti-Vax, Anti-govt, Anti-fiat, Anti-doctor, anti-advertising,... - often cite (and commiserate) about the negative truths. I’m a fan of JD Sears who brings humor to the irony -- https://steemit.com/health/@lugh/coconut-oil-kills-ultra-spiritual-life

Well, what I mean is, you can only be negative about certain things here. Like those I listed.

I receive a lot of hate and flag behind the scenes for my articles on things like problems/abuse with Steemit. I've been cyber-stalked for making suggestions about how to change flagging to help stop circle-jerkers like BookingTeam.

I don't know Booking Team and am very green on steemit.

Sorry to hear you have haters; I guess it comes with the territory of trying to affect change -- people desperately cling to that middle ground!

I, for one, really appreciate your efforts cleaning out things like child porn. You are probably one of the reasons I never encounter it. Thank you!

You might enjoy following Stellabelle (I won't tag her here and bother her), as she does more on these issues than I am able to.

I'm working on a video for her steemfest contest!
