Steemit is what??

I saw a great blog/video on steemit, praised as the new and upcoming standard/platform for social media??

WHAT???? I am not a facebook fan, nor have I ever been a social media fan since myspace lit the social media world on fire/social media addiction.

I am trying it for the first time and hope that it will be all that is expected to be.... cheers!
