So is it worth the trouble

Many people will come, but how many will stay?

In the beginning and up through today, people come for the free money (sounds funny right). But they don’t stay when they realize the work is arduous.

So like anything 1 out of so many will actually stay here. They need tenacity to forge posts that often go unrewarded, until finally the make the jump to profitability.

Retention

So many will not stay due to many hours too slimly rewarded. So is the effort worth the necessary work, or does it make more sense to just stay the course or begin the power down?

Can SMTs hold on to folks

Well it may, but they may also be too little, too late. And especially when EOS releases... so folks need to take care of each other here.

I upvote 100% and why wouldn’t I when I find a post I like? What am I saving that for... it costs me nothing.

On the comments I only delegate 20% for good comments as a long string could drain your voting power.

So here is my puzzle

I try to post something of some value each day, even while traveling like now. It is not easy and it takes time from my own business. Now I don’t mind this (obviously after almost two years) and I built up a bit, shaved some to make huge profits on other cryptos. And that be the question... save myself time and energy as I trade into more lucrative cryptos?

Playing Probabilities

Ok so I have about 4800 SP, if I use that to purchase say LTC, if it stayed the current price of $145 I could pick up about 33 of them.

Well LTC would then need to reach about $1450 to equal Steem at $10 pricing.

Which is more probable in a shorter time frame?

So before you think of making it bigger elsewhere, you may want to rethink the probabilities.

It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success on steemit

Yes sir, but not just in Steemit!

Sure , In Life:)

For me it's a bit of both. I like to spread my chances, so I use my free Steem/SBD to invest into other cyptos, while I keep my SP safely in my account.

I also trade some Steem/SBD into fiat from time to time, because right now, Steemit is my way of earning money, even if it is just a little. It's better than nothing and atleast it keeps my head a little active while I'm still not completely over my burnout. Steemit for me is even a little therapeutic I guess!

Steemit definitely is a good place to invest your time in, though giving up a job or study for it (like some people do) is a little too much for me. A feeling of security is quite important and Steemit can't promise you a steady income.

These days there is no guarantee anywhere of steady income, but I wonder how many people think... If I ever get bedridden, or disabled, I can still work with Steemit for a bit of assistance financially.

Oh definitely! That's a great way to use Steemit and I hope many people can benefit like this from the site, or any of the other Steem blockchain initiatives.

Sometimes when I read your post, I feel like you write from another realm. I'm awestruck

I was from another realm, I wrote this flying from Munich to the US yesterday... but please for future, instead of niceties post thoughts and questions on the article, it will serve everyone more.
