Skull and bones on hike

Found this skull and bones while on a hike around the woods today. Weird how it was sitting on top of brush pile like this. I've got a pretty good idea what it is based on local wildlife. What is your guess?

Maybe it's the death of HF20 as we move onto STEEM HF21?
