Why Donald Trump made huge mistake!!!

Today president Donald Trump announced that U.S. is pulling out of Paris agreement on climate change. What is Paris agreement? Why it is so much important and what will happen now?

Paris agreement is an agreement on climate change, negotiated and adopted by representatives of 195 countries on 12 December 2015. Agreement provides framework on dealing with greenhouse gas emissions , adaptation and finance starting in the year 2020. Each country determines its own contribution it could and should make in order to mitigate global warming. There is no punishment but rather shame not doing as much as you can.

Here are the main aims :
"(a) Holding the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels, recognizing that this would significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change;
(b) Increasing the ability to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change and foster climate resilience and low greenhouse gas emissions development, in a manner that does not threaten food production;
(c) Making finance flows consistent with a pathway towards low greenhouse gas emissions and climate-resilient development."

Till now, America was leading country that was showing example on climate change to rest of the world. I must say I was very happy when Trump won because he was not politician, he was very successful businessman and also that win was more about mainstream media vs social media and I think that was biggest win. But I'm not sure anymore that he was a good option. Let me explain why! When bunch CEOs of top leading American companies writes down that they support agreement and that companies are willing to invest their own capital in making agreement work, making Earth healthier in future and you ignore that! That means that he doesn't have common sense and that worries me.

Let's look how he thinks and his perspective. In his view global warming is not happening , it is as it has always been so why to spend time and money on it. But reality is different, we have multiple scientific research and studies that show that by year 2050 global warming is set to pass two degree Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) threshold . That means that most of California , Florida and East coast will be under water. Maybe we can't see it now because changes are so little but as years passes we will see it more and more.

He beliefs that he can make a lot of new jobs in energy sector but reality is different. All investments that are going in new equipment are probably going to China because they have latest and newest equipment. Also since USA is not more leading in taking care on climate change that role will go to other big countries like China and Russia. By saving all money that was planned for agreement and having it to spend on other stuff like military, wall or who knows he was getting a lot in short term but losing big in long term.

We live in 2017 and not in 60/70is, in a world that is getting every day more and more globalized. And it is very sad when things like this happen but I must tell that I am very proud of technology, internet companies that we all use (like Google, Facebook) knowing that they will do ass much as they can because they care about all people on this planet and not just themselves . I hope that Trump will trust more people that knows more than himself and acknowledge when he is wrong because that is characteristics of a true leader
