RE: England Beautiful Isle of Wight

in #steemit7 years ago

The garlic is indeed expensive at price, but I feel IOW garlic is more than a garlic. But it is IOW garlic and is rich in taste, flavour, history, and years of efforts. By reading the history at garlic farm museum, there was no garlic until World War Two when french soldiers came to the island, and felt local British food need to have better taste. Few garlic cloves came and people started to grow it. Furthermore, there is a garlic farm which has done extensive research on garlic history, varieties, benefits, and build a garlic museum. I am also very surprised about how British people have made from this little garlic we used everyday in every household, and am fascinated by how many products are made from it. Seeing its history and taste the unique flavour, you experience and learn from it, and will feel good next time when you eat garlic again, and share with family and friends.
