While I can agree that growth over time is likely to happen, as a new user to Steem I'm still holding my breath on whether this social media model will survive long enough to get that far. So far, this idea is still in beta, and there isn't any publicity I've seen about it (I found out about it through my husband, and I have no idea where he found out about it). The block chain idea, just on the surface, sounds like a security risk, which may dissuade users from joining. I'm not trying to talk badly about this whole thing, but I'm a bit skeptical about how well it will take off.
