I agree with you. I also think it kind of depends on how much your vote matters. I think a middle ground might be to make a cutoff point based off how much your vote earns/gives. Like, a Steemian with a $0.02 vote isn't really going to impact their own post that much but that's not really the case with someone who has a upvote giving away a couple hundred dollars. But I also think if one person can everyone should be able to. Why should whales get punished for the notoriety they'be earned? Hopefully upvoting yourself stays.
