Thank you for sharing. I'm new to this space too, and so far there is a divide between whether to power up, default to 50/50 and upvoting your own posts. I've been toying with all three in an attempt to determine where dividends may lie. It seems there are number of underlying strategies to master!
Using the 50/50 payout, then signing up for applications such as steemfollower and steemengine, you can magnify your own votes and those of your followers. That has been the best tactic for me so for. The referral links are in my signature.
