Looks Like Dtube Might Have Some Competition With StreamsteemCreated with Sketch.

Stream is a blockchain connected video platform that is taking a hint from Steem in it's economic model.

Here are some of the key points:

  • Will work with streamed video
  • Anonymous transactions
  • Low transaction fees
  • Built on Ethereum
  • Designed similarly to Steem, with a rewards pool that grows proportionally to growth of the coin

One quote from the developer I disagree with though:

There doesn’t seem to me to be an inherent reason Steem is a useful transactional currency and should have any intrinsic economic value.

I guess three second transactions with zero fees isn't valuable. Bitcoin is in trouble too, if that's the case.

i would atleast like to see adds implimented. unless use all think money can be printed like the fed and hold value...

I don't think Steemit needs "ads," as any company can actually just get on here and buy a bunch of Steem and have influence with posts, that are actually ads.
