Shadows of Dawn

Pacing back and forth with swollen

knuckles bleeding out like tear

Drops. I once saw the truth

In all things, but this time I am lost.

Lost in space and time without

A thought crossing clearly.

Taking a deep breathe in hopes for

a moment of relief to only get

That of pain inside this crashing

Castle of beauty. Silence

Screams out from the shadows

Of dawn, pleading with all hope for

One last chance to speak out.

But yet speaking out, only brings

That of sour nothings in which break

The seals of sorrowed echos within

These collapsing lego brick walls.

Bowing down and backing out I

Have begun that in which I thought

Never possible, for I am broken.

Broken from all that has come upon

This beating heart. Leaving only scars

Worth a thousand words laid out

Across my heart like a tattoo playing

Out a story of what once was pure

Beauty. Beauty in which lifted

A smile upon the faces of all in site

Only to cover the pain which resides

Inside this polite and gentle soul.
