You buy steem somewhere and then go to your wallet balances and deposit it(there is a dropdown arrow there) and after that choose power up from the same dropdown to convert it into steem power. You can always convert steem power back to steem in the same page by powering down.
Do you know if anybody has done a video on this?

or also you buy BTC then you click power up, scan the code and wala!
