[NEW USERS] How to correctly format your posts!
As you share posts on Steemit, you want it to be in a correct format for your readers to read and upvote. Here is a tutorial showing you how to make your post more attractive..
Formatting in Steemit is just like HTML Language for those who know about Markup Languages.. If you do not understand what HTML is, do not worry, you can still format your post easily..
For different headers, we use "#" in front of a text.. One "#" shows a large header.. Two "##" shows smaller header and so on..
One "#" (# Hello) shows
Hello
Two "#" (## Hello) show
Hello
Three "#" (### Hello) show
Hello
And it keeps going to 6 "#"
To write text in Italic, Bold and Italic bold, we use the "*" symbol
Italic (*Hello*)
- Hello
Bold (**Hello**)
- Hello
Italic Bold (***Hello***)
- Hello
To write text after a line like the below, we use the ">" symbol before the text
Example (> Hello world) results to
Hello world
To center text
We use the "<center> and </center>"
Example (<center> Hello everyone, Welcome to my post </center>)
Hello everyone, Welcome to my post
To insert image in your post
You can simply drag and drop the image where needed or find and online image, right click, copy image address and paste it in your post..
To insert video from Youtube
Simply right click on the video required, copy video URL and paste it on your post...
To have a better idea, here is the code to this post itself.. Go through it and study.
- <br> is used to enter a blank line between text..
- If you can't see the image properly, right click, copy image link and paste it in a new tab..
