Steem is pumping (BUT ONLY IN USD??)

So I am having a difficult time understanding why the steemit price is pumping virtually just via USD value and not vs Bitcoin. Its very interesting to see especially considering that if you look back on the charts when steem first pumped the BTC valuation pumped right along with the USD valuation. What are your thoughts Steemit community??
