A few ways to post pictures on Steemit, https://imgsafe.org/ being the easiest and best way i've found so far.
So before i started using Steemit, i didn't realize how uploading pictures/videos weren't possible. Steemit was using links to basically include images and videos online. I found out a few ways to do this and i wanted to share it so people also know how to do it and not have a difficult time.
Before i start, it looks like images hosted on dropbox do not work all the time
First of all i must say that the easiest so far among the list of ways is https://imgsafe.org/.
Choose a picture from your computer or elsewhere and upload it.
Once you're done, click on the image that was just uploaded(It will be displayed on the same page of the website),
copy the url(the link in the box where you type the web address. For example where you type "www.steemit.com") and paste it in the textbox that pops up when you click on the image button on Steemit, and click the checkmark. Aaaaaaaaaaaaannnd you're done :)
Another way to easily post a picture if the picture is already online, say on Google images(By the way please make sure you don't come in the way or are good with copyright issues), is to first click on the image.
After the image displays, in mozilla for example, you can right click on the image, select "view image info".
On the window that pops up, where it says location, triple click or just highlight the url, copy and you can paste that as well and it will work.
I don't know or tried other browsers but i'm sure they could have something similar.
Sometimes if the image itself displays in a seperate tab by itself, say if you drag the picture itself in a seperate tab, you can easily get the url and test it. Just make sure you see the picture in your submission text box before you post it.
If all this is complex for you. Just use https://imgsafe.org/. It's the easiest way i've found and it works best for me every time i've used it. I'm grateful for whoever created that site.

Ok i followed your instructions and copied the url in the google box, the picture comes up but no text book pops up when i click on the image! Im trying for 2 days now to add a photo to my newbie story that i would like to submit?! Is it because im useing a tablet? I dont have a computer and i already have my story wrote but i cant figure out how to add a photo to it? Ive already gone through imagesafe.
Imgsafe has always worked. Try saving the picture on your computer. Upload it to imagesafe from the imagesafe website. Click upload. Click on the picture on the page. Copy the url from the address bar and paste it in the textbox that pops up when you click on the image button. Finally click the checkmark next to the textbox that pops up when you click on the image button. And you're done.
I want to know, can I download any image taking from google? Someone says if we post google images to steemit, it will be copyright. Please tell me how we can use google images to steemit posts.
If i get any google image and save it on my desktop and then drag this save picture to imgsafe and then copy imgsafe link and post it on my steemit posts. ?
