I, You, He, She, Steemit: the basics
I smile and post because I have no idea what's going on. What other incentives do I have? Nobody likes me! Not a drop of steem to my name! Thumbscrew me and my no prizes!
I listlessly scroll down the posts and don't understand the established Steemers complaining that they are being paid in Steem dollars and not Steem. Back in the day of good old fashioned Steem life was better, so I hear. I know nothing. Promoted I am not!
Nor do I particularly understand how to find inspiring and amazing posts - it's all a bit "hit and miss" to me and I don't really know who my friends are. Right now it feels a bit like I'm in a virtual department store on Black Friday, shoving my way through the crowd to find the bargain I have been searching for, even though I don't know what it looks like exactly.
I'd like someone to take me by the hand and guide me to my perfect thingbob made of Steem. Thumbs up to me! Love from Me. Xxx
I'm subscribing to you so now you have a friend. It can take a few days to get the hang of it but over time, if you post good content, you will get noticed by more people and your rewards should increase.

It is a bit of a strange world, isn't it? You write something and people decide whether or not you get this imaginary crypto-currency called steem. That you may or may not turn into this other imaginary paper money supported by the government of your choice. Ah the wonderful world we live in.

I followed you as well, having friends is the cool thing to do now days! Don't give up hope. I joined in October and I still don't completely get it. Fortunately I have a friend that I can go talk to who helps me, but I still struggle with it. I know that it's based on the stock market and the value of steem, so some days you don't need as many upvotes to accrue Steem. But my understanding of it is basically limited to just that.
