Un-resteeming is coming...some time in the future...possibly...

I've been meaning to post the other week, but something always seems to get in the way - be it a different series, non-Steemit obligations, etc.

Anyway, in response to an issue I raised on Github regarding my un-resteeming idea that I blogged about the other week, @roadscape responded, saying that the problem had to do with a backend issue and that it was being "implemented in a new service."

The Steemit development team did not include the feature in its recent announcement about its latest Condenser updates, however, so it looks like we'll still have to wait for it in some future version.

Nevertheless, it pays to ask questions. Steemit is still new, but I've noticed that there is already a "that's just the way it is" mentality with some of the people on here. The platform is in beta, meaning that things are being tested and updated, and as early adopters we have an opportunity to give feedback that will help shape the future of the platform for the better. Just because something is designed a certain way on the platform doesn't necessarily mean it's the best design, nor does it mean it's permanent.

Cheers to a good future for the development of Steemit.

Thank you for reading,

Josh
