Functionality

This free Joomla module will display your latest Steemit blog posts in your Joomla website. The module is based on the powerful SteamJS API by @fabien.

Requirements

Joomla! 3.6.0+ is required. The module may not work properly for versions prior than 3.6.0. If you have an older Joomla! version and still want to use this module, please let me know in the comments below.

Demo

You can see the module in action on this page.

Where to download the module

You can download the module directly from our Github repository

How to setup the module

  1. Navigate to the Joomla! installer via Extensions > Extension Manager.
  2. Download the package from the Github repository and zip it.
  3. Browse the zip file in your computer, select it and click on "Upload & Install".
  4. Navigate to Extensions > Modules and open the module "Steemit Feed".
  5. Enter a module position for the module and publish it.
  6. Under the tab "Data Source" you will see the parameter "Steemit Author". Enter your Steemit username in that field and click on "Save & Close"
  7. That's it! Your Steemit blog will now be diplayed in your website.

Where to get support

If you have any kind of trouble with the module, just open an issue at the Github repository.

Can I request new features?

@joomla-tips, thank you for a great working Joomla module. Is there anyway you would be able to allow the module to publish the entire Steemit post? Even within the module?

You're welcome @spartanza. You want to display the entire content of only 1 post or the entire content of all posts in the feed?

I'm picturing it like a wrapper, but I am thinking it would work like a module. I don't want to "copy" the content because I want the source to always be steemit, but display it within my own content within a website. So it is more like a wrapper. But I dont think i am going to do that. After writing this our purpose was made clearer in my mind.

OK. I was planning to create a new module that wraps the full content of a single Steemit post.
Will be released probably next week.

I am looking forward to it!

nice articl mr

having trouble with the link on github i can download the module sir

What a great idea this is. How would this work regarding search engines and duplicate content?
