It would be great o have control over how much advertising you want on your Steemit experience. Perhaps it's a payoff. Like if you choose no advertising then your blogs and posts can't attract as much money. And if you don't mind lots of advertising then you can earn more.
There is so much that can be done.
I imagine with sufficient funding, there would be plenty of A/B testing on a variety of intricacies/mechanics. This would be a wet dream for Union Square Ventures or Sequoia Capital to model out.
