Steem Silver Coins!

There's something about fine silver. Since I was a kid I've just loved it. So when we saw the conversation floating around steemit in early September about Steemit Silver Coins - we had to get some. We'd just arrived at steemit, @trishlarimer and me - and these make a great momento of our journey here together.

There's somewhere around 80,000 folks on steemit every day. There were only 1500 Steemit Coins made for 2017. We were lucky enough to end up with two of them. There may be more in years to come, but these are from the first set minted.

Aren't they just gorgeous?

The designs on the front and back were the result of steemians voting. The community selected a design by @bearone - to us it is simply stunning. On the back is the steem logo. On the front you see our community represented by plankton, minnows, dolphins and whales. The word "Community" appears in several different languages. All in all, a great design to represent steemit.

Thank you Arly, and thank you @sevinwilson and @phelimint for such a wonderful idea and beautiful minting of our new coins. These beauties will be treasured for the rest of our lives.
