Is Gmail Intentionally Hiding Steem Signup Verification Emails? See For Yourself.

I signed up. I waited impatiently for days checking Gmail regularly for my verification email.
I checked the Social tab, Promotions tab and Updates tab. Nothing.
I checked Spam and used command+f to search 'steem' on the page. Nothing.
I then tried this back in my inbox and again, nothing.

I then tried searching using the google search bar in gmail to find the word 'steem' anywhere inside my gmail.

As you can see, it showed up in the search. I went in to it from the search menu and it seems to suggest it lives in 'Inbox'

Now look again at my inbox. The date of the verification email is June 27.

My question to you dear Steemians is... what is going on?

I had heard about facebook blocking content hosted on Steemit, but this is a bit intense.
I guess maybe they actually see this as a threat.
