Twitter Censorship - Who Decides Where Free Speech Ends?

Who decides what you can say? Twitter, apparently:

The guy seems to have some very controversial opinions, and may well be a complete jerk, but this sort of thing is dangerous to free speech. Steemit is a better way - let the community decide whether to accept or shun people like this, not private companies.

Was there actually any threat or illegal action toward the actress he mentioned? Compared to many things I've seen on twitter, it seemed relatively tame. Maybe his followers harassed her and they blamed him? I couldn't tell from the one link. What stops him from making another account or using another users account to say what he want to? That is a major blow to twitter that could bring more people here. Time will tell

I couldn't tell either, which means probably not. Media loves to run those sorts of details every chance they get. It really seems to more of "We don't like what you're saying, so we are not going to allow you to say it".

If that is the stance twitter wants to take I have a feeling it will impact them negatively in the long run.

I agree! But for that to happen people need to vote with their feet, and right now there's no alternative that would provide and incentive to leave Twitter and post elsewhere. Wait...

He's not a jerk. He says entertaining things and some of his arguments may be valid and damaging to the SJW cause which must be prevented.

You make a good point, guilty as charged and I'll split the difference

Couldn't have said it better! :D
