Steemit is much more than a social media platform. Steemit is the ultimate in open source, decentralized, transparent banking. Imagine all the benefits off a small town community within an ecosystem the size of the entire planet. I already have more money in my Steemit account than I do in my bank account. How many more can say this in the near future. Steemit has high interest bonds "steempower", checking account "steemdollar" and day trading "steem" all under one roof and you have "facebook" the social media "blogging" underlying it all giving you the community you need to keep such a behemoth institution running.

those with steempower now, will see increased wealth yes. and to those worried about getting hacked because they have millions on steemit id say put it in steempower the payout structure of powering down means before a hacker even got one payment steemit would have helped you recover the hacked account. and in a twist of irony the first steemit hack proves how legit steemit is by how quickly they made everyone whole again
