So true, for once new technology is making the future feel bright. I think the positive ramifications of decentralisation and blockchain, will not truly be known until we can look back on it in hindsight. Call me crazy but I can even see it putting an end to war itself... if all the wealth is with in the grasp and control of us, the individual. The banking cartel will essentially cease to exist and they are the only bastards perpetuating such a evil.

Distributed means not all the processing of the transactions are done in the same place. This does not mean that those distributed processors aren't under the control of a single entity. (Think of gas stations, there are Shell stations all over yet all are Shell)
Decentralized means that not one single entity has control over all the processing. By nature, this implies that it is distributed among various parties.
