Not boring at all! May I make a suggestion? Grow some vegetables in pits, it is very rewarding! From the look of where you are I would suggest lettuces to begin. Scatter several seeds over the top of your pit and lightly cover with soil and in a few weeks you can harvest. You should get at least 3 harvests. Good luck and happy gardening!
