Is Power-Down the only way how to get your STEEM back?
So lets look at an example.
I have invested about 100 STEEM on this platform. Lets say I am pretty new on this platform and I dont know my way around.
I buy the STEEM on steemit, and then I convert it to STEEM POWER so that I have at least 1% of a cent to give ANYBODY, so that anybody could recognize me at all.
SO lets say, I dont want to be recognized anymore from nobody, I want my STEEM back, I dont want to blog anymore, in short - I want out.
So how can I get out? I am reading articles about STEEM POWER being powered down for a period of time starting from 1 year to 2 years and that is how you get your money back, it just slowly transfers over those 2 years... Is this true? It just seems ridiculous to me, to force people wait for their money for years...
This fact itself wants me to get the F outta here, because how can Steemit or anyone else of you guarantee that Steemit itself will last for 2 years, starting from now. And what will happen if Steemit shuts down, and people still have their steem powering down?
This all just seems such a game changer to me.
Please explain this to me if you can.

And why am I so frustrated about this is? Because all the activity you can do here on steemit revolves around the fact of how much steem have you invested or bought to upgrade your steem power. So either I invest a huge amount of money and pray for Gods that this platfrom doesnt go down, or just try to upvote myself until I get my money back(which could anyway take 2 years).
