Solved: how long does it take for a steemit account to be activated?

So you have registered a free steemit account and you've put in your phone number, received a confirmation text message and you've Inputted the confirmation text code and it said thank you for signing up and wait to receive a confirmation of your account.

Now you have been waiting two weeks and your account is still not active what to do?

As of the past 2 months this has become normal for steemit, they have so many account registrations and they are trying to stop spam so it does take up to 2 weeks for your account to be registered, be patient, check your email.

Once it is registered you will receive an email confirming your account with a confirmation link, you click the confirmation link choose a password and BOOM your Steemit account will be activated.

If it's been more than 2 weeks and you still haven't received your confirmation email, email steamit support at [email protected]
