The possible rise of Steemit syndicates?
Are Steemit syndicates a problem
As i have been browsing steemit, i have came accross several people asking to form communities, now i'm all for community cohesion and building communities but this is no that.
what these people are offering or inviting you into is not a community its a syndicate plain and simple you vote them up they vote you up, it erodes the point of steemit if there is large groups of people voting each others content no matter what it is or weather it is worth voting for.
This is a even larger problem now due to steemits rise in popularity over the past months
steemit went from
five months ago (around 150,000 users)
to over half a million users active now
(sorry steemd.com was down so i couldnt make get a graph for that)
this is something that needs to be addressed as it stops good content from being seen as the crap gets hot or trending due to the syndicate members voting each others content.
Please let me know what you think.
