How to Fix Duplicated Contents on Steemit
There are possible reasons as to why you would want to remove your duplicated content from your Steemit blog.
It might be that you don't want other community members to flag your account for suspected spamming activity on your own wall.
People would think that you are playing an unfair game and are going to report you because you are earning something on a piece of duplicated material.
Another possible reason is to avoid getting caught by the handful of community bots specifically designed for content detection task.
Or if you are like me who simply don't want to see those unnecessary clones of the same blog post. Nothing can be more annoying than seeing similar content falling in line without purpose.
Whatever reason you might have it is important to note that editing and deleting an article is only possible within seven days from the day of publishing it.
After that period there is no way you can remove or modify a content in any way.
How to actually delete a post?
As I have talked about in one of my articles this week, the delete option is available only if nobody has upvoted and/or commented on your post.
It means that you have to delete it the soonest possible time.
But what if you have hundreds or thousands of followers?
In that case it's hard to have something goes live on the Steem blockchain without getting noticed by your community followers.
The only possible thing you can do is to make a sincere appeal to your followers who upvoted and commented on your post by way of participating on the comment thread and state the reason why you would like them to unvote and remove their comments.
But this method rarely works for a number of reasons.
Another desperate way is to send them a direct message one after another via the Steemit private chat app. This is even more a difficult way of reaching them out since you don't know for sure whether they all have a rocket chat account.
