RE: Steemit.com Growth Suggestion, Reach a few Hollywood Stars and invite them to use Steemit.com!
I don't have an intense desire to see them here. You speak as if they need Steemit to increase their fan base, we aren’t on another planet - some of us are already fans.
You speak as if you will have a nice chat with the famous. It won’t be them, it would be an assistant to their manager you would be chatting with.
That being said, I would rather they started an account on their own instead of the platform just giving them millions. Let them invest or start as a minnow and work it like the rest of us.
You may be correct that their fans outside of Steemit may follow them, but then a number of them may become inactive. The best way to promote Steemit amongst your friends. Convince them of the value of joining and staying active. This is what I am doing, and this will help us grow.

Having a few millions users means that the value of Steem will increase too,
So honestly Famous People can make a huge impact on the number of users
I am impressed steemit.com exists with only 20,000 or so active users
I won’t get into the several reasons I think people don’t stay here. I do think the big reason is the wait from signup to approval. It took me a week to get approved. We have inactives because they sign up and then forget about steemit while they wait.
As for the famous people, you can have them if you want. I don’t think it’s right for the platform to give them SBD to join. Twitter or Facebook didn’t have to pay them to sign up.
Mate the idea is to bring more members to steemit.com, who cares about what we pay when we know we will win more because Steem will increase
Anyway I am sure there are other options too
