VLOG about steemit, spam war, and what's going on on the platform in general. Just my 10 minutes of talking about everything that disturbs me, and an encouraging message for all little minnows.
Hi guys! Today I visited @thecryptofiend blog and found a resteemed post there created by a guy with -16 reputation. And it got me thinking. Thinking so much that I got even brave enough to make a video:)
Cause you know what thought came to my mind? It seems to me that on steemit, platform that was created for free speech some people are shutting up others. And now I'm talking not about spammers and low quality stolen content.
So... I tried to film this for three times, I'm sorry for the fact that it's so long, and my speech is a bit messy, but if you're a small minnow, or a "technically" dolphin like me and feel confused - please watch it. My English is not perfect, but I really tried to make the point. Well, at least that point that I can make at the moment for myself and probably for some of you.
P.S. Exactly because of the fact I tried to film it for three times I missed some things I wished to mention. Like the fact why I filmed it, but I wrote it in the first lines of the post.
As usual, thank you for reading, voting and commenting. And as usual the one who comments with nice post/good post/keep up the great work will be burned on inquisition fire.
Love, Inber

I recently had a commenter who upvoted my post, BUT, also upvoted her own comment, with an even higher voting power, x 7. I then looked her profile and wallet. She's been on Steem only for one month, but has a massive voting power delegated to her. The recent hardfork has allowed this sort of thing to proliferate.
Anyhow, like you @inber, I don't really care anymore all of the Steemit "corruption", and am focusing on my posts and connecting with decent people.
As for the comment spammers, I ignore them, but I do reply to decent replies and upvote them. That moves them up above the rubbish comments and gives them a (small) reward. =)
I've seen it a lot of times, and what's most pitiful is that usually it's a 1-2 words comment, sometimes even not related to the topic. Or one of my favorite - good/nice post.
I'm starting to agree with the opinion that the HF19 was a mistake and only allowed more abuse. Perhaps already this was already anticipated beforehand, if you get my drift? What's your thoughts?
Now I don't want to make any hasty conclusions, cause as I said - I have to remember that I know nothing about cryptocurrency and how to build it. So everything I can say is what I personally think, and my main thought at this very moment is that it really doesn't matter anymore if you do well.
Fair enough, yes, there is enough speculating rumour mongering going on.
Back to the blog! There is the next article to publish. =)
Yes, back to the blog:) Will go and prepare mine as well;)
Yes, back to the salt mines! (whip crack!)
inber, thanks for the honest vlog about your steemit journey. Looking forward to seeing more you work. In my Abundance life coaching, I always start with passion and purpose with my mentees. Glad your have found voice and your passion around your Art Work, Blog and now Vlog. Remember me when you reach whale status.. Upvoted . following and resteemed.
thank you for saying this
These are just my conclusions at the moment, I can be wrong. Or can be right.
It is good that Steem is going to full of spam if we not flagged them. But flaging a post due to low reputation is not the intelligent idea. For me I have reputation is only about 3.9 but I am not spamming others post. Some new comers like me make some mistake on their first week and reputation down. It is very hard to gain reputation , but I am trying and hoping One day my post on the top.
What kind of mistake did you make?
I don't write the source website of image and news I posted.
So technically you deserved your low reputation. You knew that you can't use other people work without permission or source, like in any other life situation.
don't be confused :) just ignore spamming
For me it's like "Don't be confused, ignore the drunk bastard who lives in the apartment next to you!" . Well, I can, but it's a good chance that he'll forget to switch off gas one day and everything will explode. The same with spammers on the platform.
yes i understand your problem :) sorry for (don't be confused)
Actually I really have such neighbor. And seeing what spam does to the platform really hurts, I was here for quite a long time and it's not meant to be like that
but you can not change people nature
You mean steemit or my neighbor lol?:)
both:) lol
Well... I can't change it on steemit, true. But I can flag. And I can't change my neighbor. But I call the police each time I don't like his behavior. So - everything depends on how much another person interrupts my personal space. And it's always a way to shut than person up.
Keep up the good work!
*hides *
Sorry 🤓
Also, the soft whizzing sound on the background is driving me nuts.. what is that??
I seeeee youuuuuu...:)

Thanks for sharing
As always great content
Dear friend did you really watch it?
I feel you on the vote rewards... What the hell happened? Why did I go from getting 50$ to getting 50 cents per post.? It's hard motivating yourself to do steemit art when you think you'll get 35 cents for days of work... And the follower situation..pfft. Well, We must remember that Steemit is in Beta. Let's see what the platform look like next year. Great video btw :)
Thank you, exactly the way I feel, only I went from about 25-30$ for post to 2-3 in most cases.
Yes, we'll still see how it'll go:)
Just a thought, maybe interact with the whales a bit. Leave some comments in their posts? Perhaps you've been doing this. Just an idea...
Most of the whales write posts about crypto. So I don't have anything to say under them:)
I'm doing a Steemit art post about Street fighter. Crypto Fighter :D
That was quite a rant my dear, but your point is valid. The only problem is that this a public platform that means it's vulnerable to spamming. Just work through it the best you can. Thanks for sharing your inner thought @inber and I've upvoted. :-)
Well, rant or not - I just wished to share my thoughts. I'm quite an emotional person, may be that's why it looks like that:)
I can see you are a lady who wears her heart on her sleeve as we like to say in the UK, and that's a quality my dear. Now, that is what you need for social media. Cool post and keep doing what you're doing. ;-)
And what does this expression mean?:) I can only guess, but I'd be tankful if you'd explain me, sometimes I can't catch the game of words
Thank you for watching, it means a lot to me:)
Well, someone who 'wears their heart on their sleeve', is a person who bares all and is someone who is not afraid to express their emotions or feelings, and that's not a bad thing at all my dear. ;-)
Thank you for explanation, that was my first guess:)
You guessed right then. :-)
Your English is not so bad, I understand you better than some of native English speakers 😃
Agree, spamming is shit. My vision of true curation and communication here is simple:
if you think that my post is good - upvote,
if you think that my post is amazing - resteem.
If you really have something to ask or to add to my post - comment. But it must be a little more than "good post" or "check my blog".
As for berniesanders, he is an interesting person and has own history that explains his low rating.
if you think that my post is good - upvote,
if you think that my post is amazing - resteem.
If you really have something to ask or to add to my post - comment. But it must be a little more than "good post" or "check my blog".
That's how it really works!
I don't know the story, though I tried to figure out why. It seemed to me that he just said something unpleasant that some other people didn't want to hear
