Yes it's truly amazing how quickly Steemit's community is advancing the digital currency concept. While it may never rival Bitcoin (at $600, of course I could be wrong) I think Steem's everyday usage factor will explode into the mainstream - thanks to the Steemit platform - in a way Bitcoin never will.
There are definitely certain advantages to steemit that Bitcoin just doesn't have, but we are so young, only time will tell what we are eventually capable of!
