Steemit Posting Question: Is It Worth It to Write High Value Articles if You're New to Steemit?

Still getting my head around this posting thing and I think I'm following five people on Steemit right now but I'm sensing that maybe putting a ton of time in to an article in the beginning might not be a good idea because no one will see it anyway. For instance I just wrote this article which, if you follow its short and easy instructions, will easily change your life in terms of health:

https://steemit.com/health/@huntiii/the-super-simple-weight-loss-trick-nobody-is-talking-about-and-worth-the-2-minute-read

The above article will literally change your life. It made $.01, got 4 votes and was viewed by 13 people most probably being from my Facebook page.

The point of this post is not to get you to read the above article so I'll give you the secret. Its sunlight. Just like how the medical establishment had gone too far and demonized fat for decades, they've done the same with sunlight.

Back to my question....

It seems that instead of putting lots of time into writing great content on Steemit at first, you should try to build up your followers by liking and commenting on other people's posts and maybe even getting people in your existing social networks to join steemit.

So whats the best way to go with this.....

Put tons of time into writing articles and creating value at first even though no one sees them or going the liking/commenting route first until you build up a following?
