What To Do When Your Hard Work Doesn't Get Upvoted: Responding To Comments

Some Of The Best Comments I've Ever Received

Hard work. This is something we can't get around no matter what type of work we want to be great at. One of the big misconceptions in many people's minds is that either hard work is not really necessary or it shouldn't take that long before we become successful. I want to be very honest and open here. Most of the time it takes years if not decades to become great at something. It doesn't just happen overnight. Although it may seem that way.

No one likes having their hard work go unnoticed. Especially if you are a content creator that is very passionate about the work you do. I know. It sucks. We put so much time, energy, and effort into our work that we expect people to go bonkers over it. But then the crickets are heard and there's no one around. How will you handle that deafening silence? How will you respond when no one is showing your content any love?

I want to go over a few comments regarding the topic of having your content overlooked and having received no upvotes for your hard work. If you haven't read the article on it yet you can find it here. Hopefully my little pieces of advice can provide you with a bit of juice to keep creating and to keep pushing forward to be successful not only on Steemit or DTube but also in life as well. As always. Peace and much love.

@humanearl,
Sometimes I tried to pay for bots to get upvotes! But I assure you it didn't work well! Anyway, sometimes I am disappointing about low upvotes! But I won't let this go! I will try my best! I know you are doing the same!

Cheers~

Bots can be profitable sometimes but not all the times. Just stay consistent and passionate about your work. Remember we are still in the early stages of all this stuff.

Hire bots.

Some people have I guess.

Honestly, when you have worked hard to put up a post and the post did not receive the attention it deserves, it's always painful. Before, I use to feel sad about it but now, it no more about the upvotes.
For me, it's about touching people's lives. So, if only one person gets to see my post, that person must be able to get one thing or the other from it. That is what makes me happy

I agree with you. For me it's the impact you make that is special. The upvotes are just icing on the cake.

Ya true , commenting section is good if we not get Upvote on ours article .

I agree. I used to upvote comment all the time but since my new delegation experiment this has not been the case.

How do you handle not getting your content noticed?

Like I always say...I keep working. Simple! Working hard has never killed anyone so if you don't get noticed once, keep working and you will surely get noticed big Time one day .

I look at succesful people and learn that it takes time. Its hard in the moment but its not impossible.

It can be tiring, I just
take my time to make resourceful friends , build relationships and have fun now and not expect anything in return.

That's a level headed mindset to have. It helps to not get so caught up in the outcome of things.

Yeah, it makes it easier.

Games are very necessary for spending a healthy life .
I apreciate your work .
And will subscribe it.

When contents does not get the desired result like this it literally kill the zest of the content creators, well it is said nothing good comes easy, we keep striving until we get to the peak

For me now i just keep hone my writing, i was not a writer before, steemit is made me... i just have to keep on honing my skill.

Of recent i wrote an article on the origin of marathon as a result of the battle of marathon, i took my time to write but @nairadaddy i used to follow just like you visit my blog and was not impressed by the writing arrangement and patterns and he made a concluding comment.

I get the feeling you haven't found your voice yet. Keep refining your skills till you do.

The comment here

I drew a lot of positive from it .

Finding your voice is very important, for me now and to keep pushing..

I think he made a good point. Glad you took the positive out of it. One thing I want to say about finding your voice. It's more about telling stories that you enjoy the most or sharing the thoughts you have on whatever topics interest you. Your writings should be an extension of you as a person. we all are unique and doing that is a good way to have a voice.

Thanks you for this reply it is golden

... an extension of you as a person

I think the biggest thing to push forward with is determination. Without that, the mind can give up and quit.

Staying determined is difficult. You have to be passionate about whatever it is that you are determined to accomplish. Understanding the end goal is key, as you have to have something to reward your brain with...once it is achieved. The soul needs to be rewarded also.

Focus on your goal, keep pushing forward, and most importantly...stay determined. Nothing can stop you.

Right. If you have passion for your work it is energizing. It helps you to keep on when nothing is working out for you.

Just like the popular saying Rome was not built in a day. To achieve success or make a big name, two things are needed.
• Talent
• Hardwork
Sacrifice are made and time investment are done to reach that goal.
Messi achieved success through Talent
C. Ronaldo got there through Hardwork.

When my content is not appreciated/upvoted. I don't sweat it, I always remember a journey of a thousand mile begins with a step. It may not be upvoted today but someday it will.

You are already on the right track. Another thing is to learn as much as you can from others who have conquered these things. This way you understand what it took for them to get to where they are.
