Steemit Features - What would you like to see?
Steemit has become a great platform to share content and let the community give it value! But software is never done...What would you like to see feature-wise to make it work better for you?
My ideas:
- Favorites list for tags - There's so many tags out there and no real easy way to get to them without typing in the url manually. Adding a set of favorite tags to your profile would make it super simple to see whats going on in your favorite topics. And, if made visible on your profile, would allow others to see the range of topics you're interested in.
- Following/Followers list improvements - Lets face it, the current view of following/followers is pretty useless. It would be nice to show a "NEW!" icon/tag next to followers that have started following you in the last week, or show the date that they started following. Maybe even show a snippet of their last post, or the tags they are using most?
- DTube embedded playback - Why can youtube videos work inside posts, but not Dtube?
- Bot whale control - I think the current upvote system needs work. People are posting crap content and getting auto upvoted by bots & whales, earning them hundreds of $ each post, while the rest of us put actual work into content and get pennies. Not only that, but people follow and upvote those that get auto-upvoted by whales and make comments that make no sense nor contribution in hopes that some of that curation $ will come their way. These crap content posters always make it to the hot/trending page simply because of the post value (usually only caused by 1 or 2 whale votes), gaining it more undeserved attention. Trending content should be purely based on the community, not influenced by whales & bots.
