Sun, summer and a Meetup in Lusatia
Dear Steemians,
the long Whitsun weekend is over and thus our Steemit Pentecostal meetup in the Lusatia. To start with, it was awesome. The Steemians who were there, are all nice people you have firmly closed in the heart and the weather was wonderful. But let's start at the beginning. I came back from Berlin around 10am so there was still time to prepare. But I want to say that my dear wife @ChrissysWorld, on the day I was not there had already completed most of the preparations. It remained for me only the preparation of the Mediterranean pasta salad for the barbecue evening.
The first friends arrived at 13:30, it was @Sabine-Reichardt and @Germansailor and dog Khira. They were followed a little later by @Spirits4you. Now only @Pipurilla was missing with Mrs. Ewa and dog Mia, but that should take some time. When Patrick was not around at 2:00 pm, I picked up the phone and called him. To my reassurance Patrick informed me that they were only at the RV parking space to replenish fresh water.
But at 14:15 they arrived at our place and a warm welcome followed. After all, we planned this meeting with Patrick and Ewa already the third year, we do not know each other first are Steemit. Now our little group was complete. As planned, we started our little hike around the Dreiweiberner See. In the most glorious sunshine and pleasant temperatures, we made good progress.
A first little break we treated the dogs and us on the beach. The dogs disappeared extremely fast in the water to cool off and we also cooled our legs in the lake. The still quite cool water was a blessing for our feet. A short time later we continued our hike. It was noticeably warmer and the effort was on us to remember.
However, we all made it to the rest area at Hippos Beach Bar and looked forward to the first cold beer. In the beautiful nature by the lake we stayed and had plenty of fun and entertainment. In addition to chips, of course, sausage and ice cream was consumed and a convivial atmosphere was introduced. After another round of beer, we continued the hike back to my garden.
We arrived at 19:00 clock and after 8 KM running track in the garden and made ourselves comfortable. The weather was still fine and even the light wind did not blow anymore. I filled the grill with coal and burned it. In a relaxed atmosphere we exchanged experiences and were happy about the meeting. In the meantime, I put steaks and sausages on the grill, because everyone was really hungry.
So passed the cozy hours and it was getting dark. In the sky, the first stars appeared and Patrick showed us where the International Space Station ISS is to be discovered in the night sky. This came just past the time announced, which was very impressive. When it was already dark, I lit the wood in the fire bowl and we found ourselves around the fire.
A deep sense of warmth connected us, the beer and wine tasted good and Martin prepared us a delicious gin and tonic. The hours passed so quickly during the discussions and it was already midnight. Ewa had an idea! It was planned that Sabine and Thomas as well as Martin wanted to sleep in the cars and Khira with us in the garden shed. But Ewa suggested that everyone could sleep in the camper, which of course was gratefully accepted by Sabine, Thomas and Martin. Around 01:00 we ended the evening and went to bed. Of course not without meeting for breakfast for the next morning at 09:00.
Whit Monday began with miserable foot pain, because I had definitely the wrong shoes to hike. But still I picked Patrick up as discussed by bike on the camper and we cycled to the bakery. With fresh bread we arrived in the garden, in which everyone had already gathered. I still made fresh coffee and we started the day with a hearty breakfast.
At 11:30 (and we were all pretty tired) we finished our breakfast and the women were still washing dishes and cutlery. Meanwhile, we men sat in the sun and chatted a bit. Slowly we prepared to bid farewell to each other. A last group photo with all participants and of course the gift basket (which Ewa and Patrick had brought) was taken by our daughter Melissa.
This was followed by a hearty farewell which was accompanied by the wish to see you soon. We agreed that this meeting should take place in Luxembourg. So at this point our ways parted for this day. I would like to thank all of you, Sabine, Ewa, Thomas, Patrick and Martin Of course also with Chrissy and Melissa, but also with the two sweet four-legged friends Khira and Mila for these great hours !!!
All Steemians around the world can only say, get together and make this community even stronger. It is a wonderful feeling when people all over the world find a common dream !! "Steem on", brothers and sisters!!

Sehr sehr cool - Und super Fotos ;)
