Unlike SteemConnect Apps, Steemfiles just borrows your posting key, and only uses it to log in. Arguably the private key could be misused the same way but Steemfiles does not store the posting key and it never gets posting authority like Steem Connect apps do.

I did see more than a few posts recently threatening this was going to happen. Seems kinda dumb to boast about it openly first, might as well hold up a sign that says "I did it !".

I was one of those "lucky" users. My account was used not only for flagging haejin but also for upvoting some posts
