What is the best crypto currency to invest in

in #steemit6 years ago

Some months ago I was asking myself the same question. I asked many friends for advice and did my own research. It is a very difficult question, as what is the best food to eat! It is important to know the history, the plans for the future and the current situation of any coin we would like to invest in.

I strongly believe that the whole Crypto-industry is disruptive and is here to stay and take over. It is the future that we should work for it together. Therefore before we invest in any coin, we need to search, research, invest and diversify. Never invest everything in one project, but spread the investments, in case one project fails. It is better to read the Whitepaper of every crypto-currency to develop a strong base knowledge of the industry. Learn about the new coins, their technology, vision and team. There is a big list of coins to invest in but how can we be 100% sure that they won’t go down to $0 in the next few months! But there are a couple of good coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, EOS, Ripple and couple smaller coins. And of course we wont forget Steem and SBD. We need to have a goal that we are working towards, and a framework for how we want to reach that goal. A product which is solving an actual real world problem will have more takers from the business side rather than a coin which can be easily pumped and dumped for profits.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin is the market leader and is always better to hold some of it. It has a decentralized blockchain ledger, on which its millions of participants organize and save a record of their transactions. Bitcoin is probably going to have all sorts of interesting use cases that we can’t even imagine today.

Ethereum

Ethereum is the top blockchain based platform for smart contracts. You can create softwares, application or even your own company using Ethereum. I am sure it will double from current price in medium time frame.

EOS
EOS provides accounts, authentication and databases. This blockchain can support millions of transactions per second, while ordinary users do not need to pay for the use.

Steem
People love to share their opinion, advises and suggestion for free, what makes Steemit one of the best blogging platforms. Every day, new units of the currency are created by the network and distributed to its users, who can exchange these digital currency units for actual real money. And it’s completely free to get started.

Following are the categories which are getting disrupted by the cryptos.

  1. Digital Cash (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Reddcoin)

  2. Privacy Coins (Monero, Zcash, Dash, Bytecoin, Verge)

  3. Smart Contracts and dApps (Ethereum, Neo, QTUM)

  4. Blockchain As Service (Komodo, IO coin, FCT)

  5. Entertainment (Game Credits, Funfair, ENJ, VIB, TIX)

  6. Media and Communication ( TRON, Gifto, Vibe, Poet, STEEM)

  7. Identity (Civic, SelfKey)

  8. Infrastructure As Service (Golem, Siacoin, ELF, RLC)

  9. Finance (Augur, ETHLend, Bytom, HMQ, NAGA)

  12. Internet Of Things (IOTA, ITC, Waltonchain)

  13. Exchange (Bancor, BNB, Kyber Network Token)

Always remember when the Internet came out nobody imagined that it would become the largest repository of cute pets videos. Or that there will be a time when we watch different videos of common people on Youtube. Or share food photos on Instagram or even Steepshot. Now the Cryptocurrencies are the future that we are building together. Bitcoin was around 450$ and Ethereum was less than 10$ and they both grown to 3 times and 7 times respectively. So be aware. Stay informed and updated. And finally the cryptocurrency with the most developer interest and momentum will win.

Interesting list you got there. I would add another category, Supply Chain (Origin Trail, VEChain, Modum). I think Waltonchain also belongs here, but you've placed it elsewhere.

Nice article!

But to answer your question: In bear markets, Bitcoin is the one that collapses the least. This has been proven true yet again.

The more people and services adopt Bitcoin the more it grows :D

Thanks for the enlightening @hanen :-)

You welcome :D

very nice post dear friend
