Modern-day slaves - Are we slaves of God or slaves of his Creatures?

I am not talking about black and white. Not about prostitution and trafficking. These are major problems that we are not able to solve until these days. No government could control them even if they say they did.
When you feel depressed and live your life as a victim of slavery you will ask yourself only one question. Why am I here?! Some people cry when they are born and cry when they are dying. They spent years of their life trying to figure out their real purpose on this planet.
As children we need to obey our parents, our teachers and our priests. As adults we need to obey God, obey the law and obey our boss. Somehow we are trapped in slavery in one way or an other. We are told what to eat, what to wear and sometimes when we are allowed to go to the bathroom. We believe in human rights, but we dont take control of our lives.
The most of us work 8 hours everyday and sometimes more than 40 hours per week. We study hard to educate our selves and have a better comfortable life. Did we ever ask the question" Why do we need to work?"
We have everything we need in every country. Enough goods, enough food, enough land and gold. Why are we struggling for survival? Who is responsible and what if we escape the system!
Lets imagine a happy life as a humans and we free the slaves. Have our free time, eat from our gardens, sleep enough and travel. No governments, no system, no racism. What if we live a life where the money has no value! Love is all what matters. And our human race!
good topic, but unfortunately in our world a lot of interracial hatred that occurs as a result of provocations of individuals. My opinion about this all can change only when people change their thinking. Mostly, the change that needs to happen in the minds of people. Thank you

Money is only a medium of exchange, your labour for my labour, it deals with the what each wants problem. with out money you can go to another medium like bitcoin/steem or labour ie I fix this for you if you make me some bread lets say! . I think everyone would benefit with some basic economics. Hanen

The capitalist system is the one that enabled the rise of our standard of living. Grew the middle class. Different degrees of slavery. More you make the less of a slave you are.
Thats absolutely right. Unfortunately the most people work all their life and never make more. Some of them cant even think about a better life. They dont believe in it :(
Yes life can be a grind for a lot of people. But I like to think that the best things in life are still free.
I agree Manor I cant undersand how hanen can agree with you then say what she said below. we do not live in heaven where the wine flows freely !! life is hard and capitalism is the best system! dont belive me try cuba, china, USSR, etc.....
That is an interesting concept. However, I believe that a world without our modern systems, especially government, would send us back to an ancient lifestyle. I think the foundation of the world around us is needed, we just have to constantly ensure that everyone benefits from it the same way.

Interesting point of view. First thing it comes to my mind is that if we live like you describe in the last part of your post, like you say free and not inslaved, then probably Steemit will not have SBD upvotes. Corporations like Google, YT, will have no power, we would probably live without politicians and without paying taxes….. This libertarian way of thinking comes with some issues that will need to be addressed, like who will take care for the order in the country, what will happen with health system, social security, education. You can grow your own vegetables and you can survive, you can maybe read books and teach your children the elementary education levels. But you can't teach your children to become scientist or you cant even help them if they have a toothache. So probably we still need some kind of system that will not erase everything we have today. But generally speaking, yes, a society that will not be so driven on money would be a better society. Elites and corporations will of course not let it happen, however with internet we got access to all kind of information and with blockchain we will get the access to monetary independence. If we as society will know how to use the new coming technologies, we can become better society one day.
Yes of course. All what we have now wont exist anymore. No taxes, no internet, no TV etc... Unless we can take care about all that and share it.
Well we wont need any health system and education will be a choice. We will live the same life like the shamans or many tribes who chose to reject the modern life and technology.
Maybe we just need one leader and one world like the theory of Alexander the great :)
This is why ultimately I think we will see a Universal Basic Income. AI and automation is making a lot of labor unnecessary. If we continue to tie the right to live to having a job, a lot of people will go hungry. When people go hungry, revolutions happen.
Thats true. But everywhere you find people who support the revolution and others who reject it for their own benefits.
Right now it's easy to reject while it's still possible to put food on the table and pretend you're a temporarily embarassed millionaire. It's a lot harder when that's no longer true.

Some people are slaves to themselves, slaves to bad habits, slaves to bad relationships, slaves to jobs they hate etc.
But the question is, can we truly be free?
Yes we can be free. We need to take the decision and all is done :)
That's why I started to pursue art as a career. I realized I was wasting life away with no real purpose.Art gave me a purpose, and a hope some part of me will live on and touch people after I'm gone.
Art is a great choice. You are doing something that you love and enjoy and thats the most important part. First be happy and accept what you are doing and your life will be better :)
It would be a dream to live in a society without money. It reminds me of the society portrayed in Star Trek's utopian future.
I am sure that it will happen one day. Just wait and watch :)
