RE: Goodbye Instagram, hello Steemit!
I managed to resist all social networks until steemit. Finally we get to earn off our work. This place will only grow as more and more realise a 'like' is meaningless and their work is being exploited.
Lets see how it will work out! Hard to tell if it's going to be better or worse when there are like 100x more people here.
Hi Peter ! I am rescued my account ! I am finally here ! :))) In time I learned how to use it 😎
Fantastic Can! Welcome! You'll need some time to understand the whole system - it's not exactly as trivial as Facebook & co.
Hello Cam! =)
Welcome aboard.
For many new people, the voting and points system seems complicated at first. Here is an excellent post and entertaining video about how it all works.

Thanks Leo ! It's great to be connected you with here.. !
So... get busy posting, commenting, voting and sharing!
You earn rewards for all of them. It is a win win for everyone. ;-)
Yeah it has a lot of promise but we need a few adjustments to avoid a million vanity selfies and random pictures of plants floodimg the place.
I was thinking the fine artists on steemit need to start promoting a new tag to seperate from the 'art' tag which has become a bit of a catch all.
Not sure who we have to talk to to get a tag listed but if we could get a whale behind the idea it would help further the working artists trying to carve out a space on here.
I don't think there is an authority taking care of that list. The more a tag is used the more its value I guess.
I used 'fineart' in my last post, seems like a pretty sparsely used tag. Could also use 'working-artist' or something like that? Need a conscensous to get behind a tag.
But could start using a tag like this as a standard, it'll take time to fill out but if working artists start it up i guess it might bring value eventually. If nothing else it can act as a filter to check out other artists while still listing on 'art' and 'drawing' for the masses with the other tags.
Yes! I tried Facebook and Instagram... it felt like I was always trying to get people to "Like" my work but I realise now what @gric says about monetizing the content as opposed to just trying to promote it.
