How to see how much someone paid to promote a post

A really cool feature on Steemit is the ability to promote your posts. Sometime you make a really cool post but turns out, everyone is away to watch that football match (or Game of Thrones?). All's lost? Nope, load some SBD and fire them away to promote your post.
But how much to spend on the promotion? Simple!
Go to the promoted page (or any tag in the promoted section e.g. Promoted Life tag ), and click on the down array next to the payout.
On the box that pops up, you will see the Promotion Cost. Now one thing is important, this cost is in SBD which these days is at USD 2 per SBD. So if you have STEEM, you'll need to convert it to SBD, or if you have STEEM Power then you'll have to Power it down which takes 3 months! Or you could just buy STEEM or SBD.
Knowing the promotion cost of other posts will let you make an intelligent decision about how much to spend to position your post strategically.

Really informative. I appreciate the transparency on Steemit. I hope the platform continues to evolve to support this level of transparency and beyond. I don't mind paid promotion when I can clearly see how much someone has paid for it.

Yes, its so amazing. They clearly say that they don't promise any benefit from paid promotion, and paid posts can even be flagged down. The most important thing to note is that the payment goes to @null which means the money is "burnt"
Wow, the fact that promotional money is burnt is really great. No profit incentive for steemit to become whores. This place is the future.
