Honestly, in my own opinion I think the usage of bots can be detrimental to ones growth on steemit, on the long run it affects payouts and profits(talking from personal experience) and something should be done to address their seemingly exponential growth. At least some moderation should be put into it so they can favor newbies who might want to use them to boost their growth.
