Obviously, this is very similar to Steemit curation & creator model, but I think it lacks the Steem economy, community, consensus mechanism, and proven methods of success. It looks like the UX might be a bit sleeker and sexier than the Steemit experience, but I'm hopeful this will change over time.
I've signed up for Beta and purchased some AMP coin, but there tends to be too many copy-copy salesmen in the space right now for me to believe this could be the "Steemit Killer". Steemit has done so well in the blockchain/social media space and its utility is unparalleled as of yet.
If only Steemit could work on its onboarding, UX and usability. It could use a good marketing team too.

" It could use a good marketing team too." - I agree a bit, it seems they care more about the product. Which is GOOD, but also the reason why I've started to advertise/promote for them! I don't normally post links in comments, but it relates to this post!

What makes you think they are that similar? wildspark could quite easily run alongside steemit, reddit , facebook etc seemlessly. I don't see it as a competitor. More a sidechain so to speak.
You create your post on steemit. Use wildspark to log the link and away you go. Think how many times people quote other peoples posts as a source. They could all be wildspark.

More like all these new platforms on blockchains with more user empowerment are facebook killers.
For example, onG.Social is a new social media dashboard that integrates other platforms including Steemit (so you can get paid twice)

I like ONG social as a platform. We can chose what we can watch as aDS and we get paid for it. Also there is no censorship. The company is legit and is here to stay. I will be holding ONGcoin for long
